A shoebox of cardboard templates, a box of scraps, a few printed patterns, a sack of sample blocks, and a hand made quilt frame; was all that was left from a life time quilter.
No information, journal, or instructions, of any type.
The quilts are scattered through the family, many used until they were rags.
The early ones were crafted out of heavy material, lining and backed with flannel blankets, and quilting with knots.
The heavy material to cotton for the blocks. The flannel blankets to using cotton inside and then to poly. Knots to quilting handsewn elaborate flowers and curves. Fancy quilting to plain lines and outlines.
Quilted until arthritis stopped her. Estimated 35~ finished, hand sewn quilts.
The Flickr set Quilts and this Blog are what little information and photos that there is for this Quilter.
Estimated - 3-5 quilts to each of her four children; and her 7 grandchildren were each given a quilt when little and 1 quilt at their 1st wedding.
